Growing up in Naples, Florida I was always passionate about the arts; in particular—fashion. I feel my obsession originated with my Dad, who restores all types of collector cars from 69' Camaros to Ferrari F40s. Watching him create something out of almost nothing was one of the most intriguing things I watched growing up. Once the time came to apply to colleges I knew I had to attend a school that offered a Fashion program that combined both Merchandising and Design. I received my degree in Merchandising and Product Development from Florida State University in the spring of 2011.

From there, I set out to try the NYC thing (since that’s what everyone in fashion does, right?). I interned with Haute Hippie in production to get my hands on the true foundation of the fashion industry. I quickly learned that NYC was not the place for me (truly a Florida beach girl), I followed my roots back to southern Florida. I found a position in production again with a jewelry designer, Nina Nguyen, where I first got my feet wet in the jewelry industry. I learned more than I ever could have imagined in that short time I was with Nina, and the experience continues to inspire me everyday.

After Nina moved her business to Colorado, I had to find another way to stay involved and evolve my fashion repertoire. I quickly found another position as a buyer for Island Trends, a small store in Naples and Marco Island with a big online presence (the first online store to sell Tommy Bahama and the #1 seller of Fit Flops on the internet at the time). I finally was broadening my fashion industry knowledge and learning how to purchase, maintain and replenish inventory, and in that process I had to create the product descriptions for the website incorporating SEO. This was my first taste of copywriting— and I liked it.

From there I was contacted about a Copywriting and Merchandising position for the E-commerce world of Marissa Collections. I decided to make the switch and delve deeper into copywriting. I learned more techniques and upped my creative copy game while I was there, moving past product descriptions to blog posts, e-mails and social media. After some time with Marissa Collections, Chico’s Corporate reached out to me via LinkedIn about an opportunity at their corporate office.

I hadn’t experienced a larger scale corporate position yet and knew I had to follow where this path was taking me. I was offered a position as a Copywriter for White House Black Market and Soma Intimates. Working for Chicos ended up being a very pivotal part of my career, learning everything from print copy, to social advertising copy, to mailer copy and store signage copy. My experience working with Chico’s FAS, Inc. was challenging yet extremely rewarding, leading me to a position as the Copywriter/Content Editor at Boston Proper.

My passions lie in writing, digital marketing and design. It's what keeps me motivated and discovering where all of this knowledge can come together and create work that is meaningful, well-written and of course—fashionable.
